Breakfast & Lunch

Notre Dame Catholic School participates in the USDA's National School Lunch Program (NSLP). All K-5 students are offered a nutritionally balanced, low cost or free breakfast and lunch that follows the guidelines set forth by the program. Breakfast is also offered for K-5 students each day; on days where a late start is called, breakfast is not served.

Each school year includes highlights such as "Try It" menu days, National School Breakfast / School Lunch Week recognition, Parent Lunches, and Birthday Lunch celebrations. Grades K-5 receive a daily in-class daily snack consisting of fresh fruit, vegetables, and/or whole grain options; Kindergarten receives milk as part of snack.

Fourth & Fifth Grade - Thursday, January 14

Refreshments with Grandparents following Mass on Thursday, October 15.

Free & Reduced Meals

Students may qualify for free or reduced-price school meals based on their household income and family size. Students may also be eligible for free meals through participation in certain Federal assistance programs, such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), or based on their status as a homeless, migrant, runaway, or foster child. To be considered for eligibility, families must complete a new application each year.

Notre Dame Catholic School strives to educate the whole person in mind, body and soul. In educating students about the body, they strive to develop a profound reverence for the great gift of life, their own lives and the lives of others, along with readiness to spend themselves in serving all that preserves and enhances life.

A committee, composed of school staff, parents, students, and community members, reviews and monitors Notre Dame's Wellness Policy to ensure identified goals and expectations regarding physical activity, nutriition, snack policies, and wellness opportuniteis are met.
